I’ve experienced a lot of Texas pride since moving down to Austin. I love being surrounded by people who are so proud of their state, and who genuinely LOVE living here, and are HAPPY here. The people are just so nice – they’ll carry on a conversation with you even when they don’t know you, and they have a way of making you feel valued on a basic human level.
From the wide open desert of West Texas, to the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Mexico, to the inspiration and creativity the city of Austin brings to the state, I’m only so lucky to have moved here. As the famed country singer (and local hero), George Strait says, “So when I go, take me to Texas.”
With that being said, I thought it appropriate to showcase my favorite Texas tee, in honor of the Texas pride I’ve already experienced in the few short months I’ve been here. This $24 tee is from the famedĀ Magnolia Market, and they have a wide selection of Texas tees available to showcase YOUR Texas pride. I paired this look with a faux suede jacket (only $54 from Nordstrom Rack!), along with cropped jeans and mules.
Speaking of Magnolia Market, I spent another day at The Silos in Waco, TX this past weekend for their annual Silobration – it’s basically a super trendy farmer’s market, with hundreds of booths set up around The Silos, from local and national vendors, from food to home goods, and live music. Each booth brings a little bit of that Fixer Upper style to their products, and if you’re a fan of the modern farmhouse style, I would HIGHLY recommend making a trip to Waco next year for it. People from all over the country make the trip, and trust me, it’s worth it. Did any of you guys attend The Silobration this weekend??
