Big thank you to Coco Coquette for sponsoring this post – all opinions are my own.
I’d been wanting to do a Studio 54 themed shoot for a while now, and it only made sense that we did it inside a studio – so we could add the confetti and disco balls, and the disco-themed lighting. This was my first ever studio shoot for my blog, and I really love how the photos turned out.
In the late 1970’s, Studio 54 was the most popular nightclub in the world. Studio 54 played an important role in the disco culture, and nightclub culture in general. This was the peak of the disco music era, and the nightclub was known for it’s exclusive celebrity guest list, and strict dress code. The dress code consisted of all things glitter, flared pants, crop tops, jumpsuits, and platform shoes. Studio 54 brought dance music to the forefront of popular culture, and I would’ve LOVED to attend just one party here, to be a part of the pop culture history.
Local wig store Coco Coquette lent me this blonde wig, and I thought it would be the perfect wig to pair with this theme. It was fun to do a more costume-y style, and just have fun playing dress up with glitter pants and blonde hair!
