Got my Topo Chico in one hand while sporting my vintage poncho top and cowboy boots. If this isn’t the definition of southwestern vintage, then IDK what is. I was inspired to put this look together from my recent trip to Marfa (you can read all about my adventures in this magical desert town here). I came across a mobile vintage store, in a truck (sort of like a food truck, but instead of tacos, you’ll find the most unique vintage pieces), and the whole vibe of this mobile store was southwestern vintage. They had a selection of Mexican poncho tops, as well as boots and desert dresses.
I took this inspo back home with me, and visited my fave local vintage store in Austin, Feathers. If you’re looking for unique, higher-end vintage pieces, then you HAVE to visit Feathers when you’re in town. I plan to dedicate an entire post to this boutique, because it’s that amazing (but I’ll save that for another time). I paired this look with some Levi cutoffs, and my vintage cowboy boots, and there you have it. Not to mention, the scene for this shoot has got to be one of the best locations my photographer and I have scouted in a long time. Austin just continues to bring me all the inspo.
