Coming to you on this chill Sunday morning – one of my first free weekend days in a while. It felt soooo nice to sleep in until 9am today. I definitely needed to rest up after being out on Friday night for my friend’s bday, and attending the Content ATX 2 blogger conference at Conde Nast all day yesterday. BTW, if you’re a creative in the Austin area, I highly recommend attending this 1-day conference next year. Early bird tickets are only $20, and you get to hear from at least 10 speakers about a variety of different topics related to story-telling through social media. My two fave speakers this time around were local Austin blogger Jesse Coulter (Building a Brand Through Blogging) and the two sisters behind EatingATX. All in all, a productive Saturday, and believe me when I say, I’m taking full advantage of my rest day today.
I don’t have a ton to talk about this week, other than just wanting to share this BOMB vintage jacket that I found during my latest trip to Marfa. Like I explained in my latest Marfa recap, I found this jacket on our first stop, Ranch Candy Marfa, during the first hour of arriving in town. I wasn’t even planning on buying anything this time around, but when I saw this jacket, I couldn’t resist. I ended up incorporating the jacket into my shoot that evening, and the red TEXAS background fit just perfectly. If you’re ever in Marfa, be sure to stop by Ranch Candy Marfa – the BEST cowboy vintage pieces for under $100. Your welcome.
