This shoot is one of my favorite looks/photos to date (shout out to Jillian Savage for these super cool shots), so forgive me for sharing the whole album, as you scroll below.
When I REALLY am happy with the way a certain look/shoot turned out, I just treat the post like a personal photo album, where I can upload the entire album, and feel proud of myself for the way my vision came to life. Jillian brought me to an amazing parking garage that had 360 degree views of Austin – not to mention it was the absolute PERFECT day for this location. And the number 8 wall just fell into place, and was exactly on point with the color scheme I had going for this outfit.
Which brings me to this look, called monochrome fashion. Monochrome fashion means wearing separates of one color-scheme, that have different textures, but the entire look sticks to similar shades (they don’t have to be exactly the same color, in fact, it’s almost better when they’re slightly different tones of the same color). The monochrome trend is super popular at the moment, and there are so many different ways to wear it. For example, in this look, I’ve paired a silk texture (skirt) with a cotton texture (sweater), along with suede boots – all different textures, and different colors, but I stayed on theme with the overall neutral tones.
That’s all I have for today. My eyes are slowly closing as I type this, even though it’s only 9:45pm (I’ve become such an early bird these days). I’ll leave you with my entire look linked, plus plenty more monochrome outfits, in different color-schemes, below.
