Big thank you to Roomify for sponsoring this post – all opinions are my own.
If you’ve followed any of my most recent posts lately, you’ll know that this fall season is bringing a ton of craziness for me. Trips, photoshoots, music festivals, and moving take up almost all of my time over the next two months. As we all transition into a new season, change is inevitable. Weather that means the start to a new school year, moving to a new apartment, or, at the very least, a change in wardrobe (helloooo sweater season).
For me, the change is all about moving in to my new space. I’ll be moving in to a new apartment very soon, and this will be the first time I’m REALLY living alone (but also having Kitty with me). I’ve lived alone a few separate times, but for only a few months at a time, so this is definitely a huge change for me. I’m so excited for this next chapter – I feel way more like a grown up, having my own place, and not sharing a space with a roommate. I’m super pumped to make my new place all my own, and to be able to decorate it exactly they way I want it.
But as I embrace this change, there also comes some uncertainty. The uncertainty of actually living alone – not coming home and having someone to talk to every day. Not living with my sister anymore, and actually having to make plans to see her, when before, she was always around. Not having the luxury of splitting bills with someone – having to pay for everything on my own. Moving to a new neighborhood, and getting used to a new part of town. You can either choose to view all of these changes as a negative – as a disruption in your life. Or, you can choose to embrace the change, and tackle those uncertainties head-on. I’m choosing the latter, because, at this point in my life, that’s what it’s all about. Embracing the change. And a new bed set doesn’t hurt either.
Which is why it was time to update my bed spread, with the help of Roomify. Weather you’re moving in to your dorm room or apartment, Roomify will hook you up. They have everything you need to turn your space in to your own little sanctuary – bed, bath and laundry, organizational products, pillows, tapestries, rugs, blankets, and all kinds of lighting.
